Are your kids prepared for Trick-or-Treating this year?

Kenosha Trick or Treating Hours 2013

trick or treatWhile October means the official start to colder temperatures here in Wisconsin, it also means excitement for kids. And no, we’re not talking about being back in school – that usually doesn’t get them too pumped. But the end of the month is one of the most fun activities of the year for kids – Trick-or-Treating.

For all that are wondering, the Kenosha Trick-or-Treating hours for 2013 are from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31. These hours are for the City of Kenosha. We were excited to see that Trick-or-Treating is being held on the actual Halloween day. There’s something about being out on the official day that makes it more exciting than usual. But, maybe that’s just us.

But as excited as we are for Kenosha Trick-or-Treating here at Palmen Motors, we also want to remind everyone going out to be safe. We’ve included some Halloween safety tips below so you and the kids can be sure to enjoy a safe Halloween.

Traveling in groups is always a good idea.

Halloween Safety Tips

Costume Tips: The first tip might not be that obvious as you are looking through costumes at the store. Make sure to buy a costume that is flame resistant. With all of the jack-o-lanterns and candles lit, this is a no-brainer. Also, before the kids go out, it’s a good idea to affix some reflective tape to the costume so cars are sure to see them. If face paint is used, be sure that it is FDA approved, as some others can cause allergic reactions.

Walking Tips: Always make sure that you are either with the kids at all times, or they are going with a group. And if they are walking from house to house, make sure they are actually walking – not running. Also, while crossing the street may be necessary at times, make sure it is done in the crosswalk – and tell the kids to stay on the sidewalk as much as possible.

These are just a few tips from your friends at Palmen Motors. Now enjoy your Halloween!
